Motion Fused began in late 2005 as a side project of Aaron Potter and Daniel Brunet running in parallel to Empty. Motion Fused is based around the concept of composing atmospheric, horror-movie soundtrack scores.

Musical influences for Motion Fused include score composers such as Clint Mansell, Rob Dougan, Chris Vrenna, Charlie Clouser, Trent Reznor, The Dust Brothers, Goblin and Tangerine Dream.

Film influences include work by Dario Argento, Roman Polanski, Darren Aronofsky, James Cameron and Wes Craven.
